About the role

Our client requires an experienced Accounts Officer for a busy Legal Practice located in Narellan.  This is an all-round accounts role and requires an individual who has a broad range of accounts experience and has high attention to detail.

The role covers:

  • Full function Accounts Receivable/Payables
  • Invoicing
  • Daily receipting and collections
  • Trust Accounting
  • Preparing Accounts Receivable aging report
  • Handling supplier/customer queries
  • Month End tasks and reconciliations
  • Preparation of BAS, ATO Payments & Superannuation
  • Payroll administration
  • Monthly reporting & analysis of financial results

The successful candidate must have:

  • XERO Certification
  • Relevant qualifications in bookkeeping or Accounting at a Certificate IV level or higher
  • 5+ years' end to end Accounts experience within legal offices
  • Must have previous experience with Trust Accounting
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Experience with legal software Leap
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Driven and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Proactive to identify improvement areas and solutions to continuously improve the role
  • Attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making and a hands-on approach
  • High level of computer literacy with good Excel skills
  •  Excellent Verbal and written communication skills and a good manner with clients as you will be contacting clients for payment
