We may be your Solicitors and Conveyancers, but the Coutts team are just like you. When we’re not working hard, we’re out and about in the world, just living. You know how it is?
We’re taking a page out of our little purple book and sharing it with you. Let’s get to know Solicitor Bridget Armstrong, based in the new Coutts Sydney office.
What are you most looking forward to working at Coutts?
I'm excited to be working with the most competent and specialised solicitors in Local Government and Planning Law. Coutts is the only country law firm in New South Wales with two Accredited Specialists in Local Government and Planning on its staff. I have always been very passionate about environmental law and can't wait to gain as much experience in this area as I can.
What is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to you?
The most incredible thing that has happened to me was in May 2017, when I was interning at the International Association of Women Judges Conference in The Hague. I had the privilege of meeting some of the most amazing Judges from all over the world and viewing a hearing at the International Criminal Court. This was an unforgettable experience.
Who is your hero in life?
"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all."
Helen Keller is my hero because she was the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1904, at the age of 24.
What are three items you can't live a day without?
- My music playlists
- Comfy shoes
Share something that not too many people know about you?
In high school, I enjoyed entering 25 words or less competitions. In year 8, I won the Dolly Magazine Aria Awards competition to be their reporter on the red carpet interviewing celebrities. The prize included attending a back stage media conference, professional makeover with 5 star accommodation and limousine transfers. It just shows how you must be in it to win it!
